RESOLUTION APPROVING RECOMMENDATION OF
ACCEPTANCE OF BID BY BILL COLWELL FORD OF
HUDSON, IOWA, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
PURCHASE OF TWO (2) 2011 :h TON, 4 -WHEEL DRIVE
PICKUPS WITH ALUMINUM DUMP BOXES IN THE
AMOUNT OF $98,834.00, AND RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 2010-902 IN ITS ENTIRETY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That Witham Auto Center of Waterloo, Iowa, is unable to
provide the specified vehicles at the original bid price and that
bid therefore does not meet specifications as set out for said
purchase, and is rejected, and
That Resolution No. 2010-902 is rescinded in its entirety,
and
That the bid is awarded to Bill Colwell Ford of Hudson,
Iowa, in the amount of $98,834.00, for the purchase of Two (2)
2011 'N Ton, 4 -Wheel Drive Pickups with Aluminum Dump Boxes as
described in the Request for Proposal document, heretofore
adopted by this Council in Resolution No. 2010-865 for said
purchase, after September 27, 2010 public hearing on published
notice required by law, be and is hereby accepted, the same being
the lowest bid received for said purchase.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of October, 2010.
