RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
MAY 6, 2024, TO APPROVE THE REQUEST BY THE CITY
OF WATERLOO TO REZONE APPROXIMATELY 2.17
ACRES FROM "M-2" HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO
"C-P" PLANNED COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, LOCATED AT
1515 SYCAMORE STREET, TO ALLOW FOR
REDEVELOPMENT OF THE RATH ADMINISTRATION
BUILDING INTO EIGHTY-SEVEN AFFORDABLE SENIOR
HOUSING UNITS, AND INSTRUCT THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, meet in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 6th day of May 2024, to hold
a public hearing to approve a request by the City of Waterloo to rezone approximately 2.17 acres
from "M-2" Heavy Industrial District to "C-P" Planned Commercial District, located at 1515
Sycamore Street, to allow for redevelopment of the Rath Administration Building into eighty-
seven affordable senior housing units.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
