RESOLUTION NO. 2024-218
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO ADAMS
OUTDOOR CONTRACTING OF WATERLOO, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF OPTION A MOWING: $14,367.84; WEED CONTROL
$4,995.98, OPTION B MOWING: $2,375,88; WEED CONTROL
$2,400.00, OPTION C: $11,310.00, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE 2024-2026 WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT AND
LAGOON MOWING/SPRAYING CONTRACT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Adams Outdoor Contracting of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid as follows:
Option A Mowing: $14,367.84; Weed Control $4,995.98, Option B Mowing: $2,375,88; Weed
Control $2,400.00, Option C: $11,310.00 in conjunction with the 2024-2026 Wastewater
Treatment Plant and Lagoon Mowing/Spraying Contract, and
WHEREAS, Adams Outdoor Contracting submitted a written contract, bond, and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2024-217, after a public hearing on April 15, 2024, in conjunction with the
2024-2026 Wastewater Treatment Plant and Lagoon Mowing/Spraying Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Adams Outdoor Contracting, in the amounts as follows: Option A
Mowing: $14,367.84; Weed Control $4,995.98, Option B Mowing: $2,375,88; Weed Control
$2,400.00, Option C: $11,310.00, in conjunction with the 2024-2026 Wastewater Treatment
Plant and Lagoon Mowing/Spraying Contract, is hereby accepted.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by P & J Lawn
Care, in conjunction with the 2024-2026 Wastewater Treatment Plant and Lagoon
Mowing/Spraying Contract, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
