RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF THE WATERLOO
PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 3094.
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Public Library is requesting a
variance to the Noise Ordinance on September 15, 2010 from 3:30
p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in conjunction with Hispanic Heritage Month to
be held in the library parking lot including a DJ, together with
recommendation of approval by Chief of Police, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said Waterloo Public Library has made formal
application for a variance on September 15, 2010 from 3:30 p.m.
to 8:30 p.m. in conjunction with Hispanic Heritage Month to be
held in the library parking lot including a DJ.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Waterloo Public Library
for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on
September 15, 2010 from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in conjunction
with Hispanic Heritage Month to be held in the library parking
lot including a DJ, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of September, 2010.
