RESOLUTION NO. 2024-279 RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO A FARM LEASE AGREEMENT WITH LUKE WESTON, DATED MAY 4, 2020, TO ALLOW LESSEE TO UNDERTAKE EARTHWORK ON THE PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF 2644 INDEPENDENCE AVENUE, AND DEDUCT AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $8,500.00, FOR WORK PERFORMED, FROM THE YEARLY RENTAL AMOUNT OF $14,583.45, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That an amendment to a Farm Lease Agreement with Luke Weston, dated May 4, 2020, to allow Lessee to undertake earthwork on the property located north of 2644 Independence Avenue is hereby approved. 2. That an amount not to exceed $8,500.00, for work performed be deducted from the yearly rental amount of $14,583.45. 3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May 2024.
