RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO B&B LAWN CARE, INC.,
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $11.41 PER
LOT PER OCCURRENCE FOR LOTS UNDER 1 ACRE, AND
$49.99 PER ACRE PER OCCURRENCE FOR LOTS 1 ACRE
OR MORE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2024-2025
RESIDENTIAL LOTS/MISCELLANEOUS AREAS MOWING
AND LOT MAINTENANCE SERVICES CONTRACT RE -BID
FOR CITY -OWNED LOTS GENERALLY MAINTAINED BY
THE PLANNING AND ZONING DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, B&B Lawn Care, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$11.41 per lot per occurrence for lots under 1 acre, and $49.99 per acre per occurrence for lots 1
acre or more, in conjunction with the 2024-2025 Residential Lots/Miscellaneous Areas Mowing
and Lot Maintenance Services Contract re -bid for city -owned lots generally maintained by the
Planning and Zoning Department, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, B&B Lawn Care, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond, and certificate of
insurance, in conjunction with the 2024-2025 Residential Lots/Miscellaneous Areas Mowing and
Lot Maintenance Services Contract re -bid for city -owned lots generally maintained by the
Planning and Zoning Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of B&B Lawn Care, Inc., in the amount of $11.41 per lot per occurrence for
lots under 1 acre, and $49.99 per acre per occurrence for lots 1 acre or more, in
conjunction with the 2024-2025 Residential Lots/Miscellaneous Areas Mowing and Lot
Maintenance Services Contract re -bid for city -owned lots generally maintained by the
Planning and Zoning Department, is hereby awarded to B&B Lawn Care, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by B&B Lawn Care, Inc.,
in conjunction with the 2024-2025 Residential Lots/Miscellaneous Areas Mowing and Lot
Maintenance Services Contract re -bid for city -owned lots generally maintained by the
Planning and Zoning Department, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of May 2024.
