RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
JUNE 3, 2024, FOR THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF
CITY -OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1738 FLOWER
STREET, IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000.00, TO BABIC
PROPERTIES, LLC, INCLUDING APPROVAL OF A
DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF AN 8-PLEX APARTMENT BUILDING, A GRANT OF
$5,000.00 PER UNIT FOR A TOTAL GRANT OF $40,000.00
FOR INFILL HOUSING DEVELOPMENT, AND INSTRUCT
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, meet in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 3rd day of June 2024 to
approve the request for the sale and conveyance of city -owned property located at 1738 Flower
Street, in the amount of $10,000.00, to Babic Properties, LLC, including approval of a
Development Agreement for the construction of an 8-plex apartment building, a grant of
$5,000.00 per unit for a total grant of $40,000.00 for infill housing development.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of May 2024.
