RESOLUTION NO. 2024-314
RESOLUTION APPROVING ACKNOWLEDGMENT/SETTLEMENT
AGREEMENT FOR TOBACCO VIOLATION - FIRST OFFENSE
WITH BYRON MART, 306 BYRON AVENUE, WATERLOO, IOWA,
AND ACCEPTANCE OF A CIVIL PENALTY IN THE AMOUNT OF
$300.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that
the Acknowledgment/Settlement Agreement, dated May 20, 2024, for the first violation -
affirmative defense for sale of tobacco to a minor, between Byron Mart, 306 Byron Avenue,
Waterloo, Iowa and the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and acceptance of a civil penalty in the amount
of $300.00, is hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to
execute said document on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of May 2024.
