REPAIR In the City of Waterloo,
Iowa CONTRACT NO. 1107
RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by
the Clty Clerk of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, at her office in the City Hall of the
said City on the 2nd day of May 2024
until 1:00 p.m. for the construction of
the F.Y. 2024 11TH STREET RAIL-
ROAD CROSSING REPAIR, Contract
No. 1107, as described In detail in the
plans and specifications now on file in
the Office of the City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened
In the First Floor Conference Room at
City Hall. in the City of Waterloo. fowa.
on the 2nd day of May 2024 at 1:00
p.m.. and the proposals will be acted
upon at such later time and place as
may then be fixed by the Clty Council.
The bid opening will be Ilvestreamed
onYouTube and made available on the
city website.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Coun-
cil of said City will conduct a pub-
lic hearing on the proposed plans,
specifications, form of contract, and
estimate of cost for the construction
of the above -described improvement
project at 5:30 p.m. on the 6th day of
May 2024, sald hearing to be held in
the Harold E. Getty Council Chambers
in City Hall in said City. The proposed
plans, specifications, form of contract,
and estimate of cast for said improve-
ments heretofore prepared by the Clty
of Waterloo are now on file in the office
of the Gity Clerk for public examina-
tion, and any person interested therein
may file written objection thereto with
the City Clerk before the date set for
said hearing. or appear and make
objection thereto with the Clty Clerk
before the date set far said hearing. or
appear and make objection thereto at
the meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The extent of the work involved is the
removal and replacement of the exist-
ing 11th Street pavement on each side
of the lowa Northern Railway railroad.
Railroad tracks and railroad crossing
material to be replaced by the Iowa
Northern Railway. Pavement contrac-
tor will be required to coordinate their
work with the Iowa Northern Railway.
Published pursuant to the provisions
of Chapter26 of the City Cade of lowa
and upon order to the City Council of
said Waterloo, fowa, ante 16th day
of April 2024.
