A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO
EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 19, 1980, THE ASSUMPTION OF OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE RESPONSI-
BILITIES FOR THE FLOOD PROTECTION DEVICES CONSTRUCTED AS STAGE III-C OF THE CORPS
OF ENGINEERS LOCAL FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers contractor has completed the
construction of all the facilities required for Stage III-C of the Local
Flood Control Project; and
WHEREAS, said facilities have been inspected and approved by
representatives of the City of Waterloo; and
WHEREAS, the contract between the Corps of Engineers and the City
of Waterloo requires formal transfer of the assumption of operation and
maintenance responsibilities of said facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers has proposed the date of November 19,
1980 as the date for the transfer of said responsibilities for Stage III-C.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA that;
1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to accept on behalf of the City
of Waterloo effective November 19, 1980, the assumption of operation and main-
tenance responsibilities for the flood protection devices constructed by the
Corps of Engineers as Stage III-C of the Local Flood Control Project.
2. A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Corps of
Engineers.
