RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF WENDELL LOCKARD
CONSTRUCTION, INC .OF WATERLOO , IOWA FOR BYRNES AND
GATES PARK SWIMMING POOL IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY
OF WATERLOO , IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1 , 225 , 759 . 00 ,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
that the bid of Wendell Lockard Construction Inc. of Waterloo , Iowa
for the Byrnes and Gates Park Swimming Pool Improvements in the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, filed with the City Clerk in accordance
with the terms of the published notice calling for proposals for
the construction of the said improvement,be,and the same is
hereby, accepted, the bid of Wendell Lockard Construction Inc . in
the amount of $1 , 255 , 759 . 00 being the lowest legal bid received
on said proposal, and that the contract be awarded to Wendell
Lockard Construction Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be , and
they are hereby, authorized, instructed and ordered to enter into a
contract on behalf of the City of Waterloo , Iowa, for the con-
struction of the said improvement with the said Wendell Lockard
Construction Inc. ,but said contract shall not be binding upon
said city until the same has been duly approved by the Council .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other bids for said improve-
ment be, and they are hereby, rejected, and the City Clerk is hereby
