RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO 27275 ADOPTED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL ON OCTOBER 6 , 1980 AWARDING F.Y. 1981
CARRIAGE HILL RETENTION BASIN, SEC TION 2 , CONTRACT NO.
210 TO CEDAR VALLEY CORPORATION.
WHEREAS , a public hearing on proposed plans , specifications
and taking of bids on F.Y. 1981 Carriage Hill Retention Basin,
Contract No. 210 was held on September 22 , 1980 , and
WHEREAS ,no objections were held at said hearing, and,
WHEREAS , Cedar Valley Corporation was awarded Section 2 , of
F.Y. 1981 Carriage Hill Retention Basin, Contract No. 210 and
Contract signed on October 6 , 1980 under Resolution No . 27275 , and
WHEREAS, said contract stipulated that work would commence
after receipt of notice to proceed with completion 75 calender
days after issuance of notice to proceed, and
WHEREAS , a notice to proceed was not issued to said contractor
due to easements not being signed by property owners within the
project area,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO , IOWA that contract with Cedar Valley Corporation dated
October 6 , 1980 for Section 2 ,F.Y. 1981 Carriage Hill Retention
Basin be rescinded.
Passed and adopted this 24th day of November, 1980 .
