A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
BUDGET BY TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $90,018.08 FROM
"COMPLETION OF URBAN RENEWAL" TO "PUBLIC WORKS, FACILITIES AND SITE
IMPROVEMENTS"
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo entered into an Agreement
with the Federal Government approving the Community Development
Block Grant Program and Budget; and
WHEREAS, there is a need of a particular urgency for
improved sanitary sewers in the 600-800 block of Fowler Street; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the sanitary sewers on
Fowler Street is $65,000.00; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for landscaping and development of
a park area; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the park development is
$25,018.08; and
WHEREAS, there are uncommitted funds available from Completion
of Urban Renewal Sans Souci Bridges Approaches Line Item in the amount
of $90,018.08.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO that the Community Development Block Grant Program
Budget as previously approved be amended by transferring the sum of
$90,018.08 from Line 1608 "Completion of Urban Renewal" to Line 1602
"Public Works, Facilities, and Site Improvements" with $65,000 to be
used for the Fowler Street Sanitary Sewers and $25,018.08 for park
landscaping and development.
