HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-875-09/27/2010RESOLUTION NO. 2010-875 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION CONTRACT TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN DEED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE HAZARD MITIGATION GRANT PROGRAM PROPERTY ACQUISITION PROJECT. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had the parcel described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained, and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcel is in conjunction with the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Property Acquisition Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contract for the parcels hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, is accepted and approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to purchase the property from the owners thereof, and the deed for the conveyance of the same is also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay for the property from City funds. The subject addresses are: Owners - Sans Souci Association Inc. & Multiple Owners Address - Lots 22-31 and garages on leased land on Sans Souci Drive Total Acquisition - $301,454.00 Lots 22 through 31, Replat of Part of Original Plat of Sans Souci, except street, Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. Reserving to grantor an easement for reasonable right of access, over and across that part of Re -Plat of Part of Original Plat of Sans Souci identified as Gates Street and Wangler Street, to lands retained by grantor on what is commonly known as Sans Souci Island.
