RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN
ACQUISITION CONTRACT TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO
THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN
DEED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE HAZARD
MITIGATION GRANT PROGRAM PROPERTY ACQUISITION
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had the parcel
described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained,
and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcel
is in conjunction with the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program
Property Acquisition Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contract for the parcels
hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa, is accepted and approved and the Mayor and
City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in
behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to
consummate the agreement to purchase the property from the owners
thereof, and the deed for the conveyance of the same is also
accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay
for the property from City funds.
The subject addresses are:
Owners - Sans Souci Association Inc.
Address - Streets, alleys, and riverfront areas of Sans
Souci
Total Acquisition - $0.00
Lots Nos. 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, First Addition to Sans
Souci, and all of Wangler Street and adjoining
riverfront in said First Addition, except Lots Nos. One
(1), Two (2) and Three (3) in First Addition to Sans
Souci, in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa, also excepting the following described property
lying between the said Lots Nos. 1, 2 and 3 and the
Cedar River as follows: Beginning at the intersection
of the Easterly line of Lots Nos. Twenty (20) and
Twenty-one (21) in Sans Souci produced Northerly and
the Southerly line of said Lot No. One (1) produced
Easterly; thence Northerly along a line that is
parallel with the Easterly line of said Lots Nos. One
(1), Two (2) and Three (3) to its intersection with the
Northerly line of said Lot No. Three (3) produced
Easterly; thence Westerly along the extension Easterly
of the Northerly line of said Lot No. Three (3) to the
Northeasterly corner of said Lot No. Three (3); thence
Southerly along the Easterly line of said Lot No. One
(1) to the Southeasterly corner of said Lot No. One
(1); thence Easterly along an extension of the
Southerly line of said Lot No. One (1) to the point of
beginning.

All streets, alleys, and riverfront in Re -plat of Part
of Original Plat of Sans Souci, Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa.
