RESOLUTION NO. 2024-328
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST OF TIM
BEDARD FOR A WAIVER FOR AN ASPHALT DRIVEWAY
LOCATED AT 2529 KATE STREET, WITH THE
ELIMINATION OF THE SIDEWALK SECTION.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a written application to the City Council asking
that Tim Bedard be authorized and permitted to construct an asphalt driveway with the
elimination of the sidewalk section to be located at 2529 Kate Street, legally described as
follows:
MARTIN HEIGHTS, LOT 40, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK
HAWK COUNTY, IOWA
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that said request
should be granted.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permission is hereby granted
to Tim Bedard to construct an asphalt driveway and eliminate the sidewalk section, located at
2529 Kate Street, subject to the following conditions:
1. Work is to be performed by an approved and bonded contractor.
2. A permit is to be obtained from the office of the City Engineer prior to
construction.
3. All work shall be under the supervision of the City Engineer and at no cost to the
City of Waterloo.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is authorized and directed to forward
a certified copy of this resolution to the Black Hawk County Recorder for recording and the
Black Hawk County Auditor for filing in order that this said action may become a matter of
official County Record.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of June 2024.
