RESOLUTION NO. 2024-333
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS JUNE 20, 2024, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS JULY 1, 2024, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES CONTRACT NO.
AB-2024-06-01P, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 123 E.
PARKER STREET, FORMER SAINT MARY'S VILLA
(REBID).
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, etc., in
conjunction with the Asbestos Abatement Services Contract No. AB-2024-06-01P, for property
located at 123 E. Parker Street, former Saint Mary's Villa (rebid), are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the bid opening, in conjunction with the Asbestos Abatement Services
Contract No. AB-2024-06-01P, for property located at 123 E. Parker Street, former Saint Mary's
Villa (rebid), be scheduled for June 20, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa.
Section 3. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, meet in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 1st day of July 2024, to hold
a public hearing, in conjunction with the Asbestos Abatement Services Contract No. AB-2024-
06-01P, for property located at 123 E. Parker Street, former Saint Mary's Villa (rebid).
Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of June 2024.
