RESOLUTION NO. 2024-335
RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, ETC., SETTING
DATE OF BID OPENING AS JUNE 6, 2024, AND DATE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AS JUNE 17, 2024, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. AB-2024-05-08P, AND INSTRUCT THE
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the preliminary plans, specifications, form of contract, etc., in
conjunction with the Asbestos Abatement Services Contract No. AB-2024-06-01P, for various
properties located throughout the City of Waterloo, are hereby approved.
Section 2. That the bid opening, in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services
Project, Contract No. AB-2024-05-08P, be scheduled for June 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., City Hall,
Waterloo, Iowa.
Section 3. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, meet in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 6th day of June 2024, to hold
a public hearing, in conjunction with the Asbestos Abatement Services Project, Contract No.
AB-2024-05-08P, for various properties located throughout the City of Waterloo.
Section 4. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of June 2024.
