RESOLUTION APPROVING RECOMMENDATION OF AWARD
OF CONTRACT TO TSCHIGGFRIE EXCAVATING CO. OF
DUBUQUE, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $116,065.13
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE F.Y. 2011 RAINBOW
DRIVE AND LETSCH ROAD FORCE MAIN PROJECT,
CONTRACT NO. 792.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the bid of Tschiggfrie Excavating Co. of Dubuque, Iowa,
in the amount of $116,065.13, for the F.Y. 2011 Rainbow Drive and
Letsch Road Force Main Project, Contract No. 792, described in
the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project in Resolution No. 2010-840, after public hearing on
September 20, 2010 on published notice required by law, be and is
hereby accepted, the same being the apparent lowest bid for said
project.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of September, 2010.
