Mr. Jacobs questioned if the policedepartinent training is required for certification.
Joe Liebold, Waterloo Police Captain, explained that it is a portion of a six course certification.
Mr. Jacobs questioned if the engineering training is for certification.
Eric Thorson, City Engineer, noted that it does contain training for certification.
Mr. Jacobs questioned the purpose of "The Urgency of Now" conference.
Michelle Weidner; explained that Mayor Hart will be paying for his own airfare and a grant is
paying for approximately $600 of the remaining cost.
Suzy Schares, City Clerk, read the conference agenda.

expend over $1,000.00, be approved.
