RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by
the Clty Clerk of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, attier off ice inthe City Hall of the
sald City on the 13th day of June 2024
until 1:00 p.m. for the construction of
the FY. 2024 HAWTHORNE AVENUE
STORM SEWER LIFT STATION RE-
LIEF WELL, Contract No. 1066, as
described in detail in the plans and
specifications now on file in the Office
of the City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIOS
All proposals received will be opened
fn the First Floor Conference Room at
Chy Hall, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
on the 13th day of June 2024 at 1:00
p.m., and the proposals will be acted
upon at such later time and place as
may then be fixed by the City Council.
The bld opening will be livestreamed
on YouTube and made available on the
city website.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Council
of said City will conduct a public hear-
ing on the proposed plans. specifica-
tions, form of contract, and estimate
of cost for the construction of the
above -described improvement project
at 5:30 p.m. on the 17 th day of June
2024, said hearing to be held in the
Harold E. Getty Council Chambers In
City Hall in said City. The proposed
plans. specifications, form of contract,
and estimate of cost for said Improve-
ments heretofore prepared by the Clty
of Waterloo are now on file in the office
of the City Clerk tor public examina-
tion, and any person Interested therein
may file written objection thereto with
the City Clerk before the date set for
said hearing, or appear and make
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing, or
appear and make objection thereto at
the meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The extent o1 the work involved is the
demolition and plugging of the existing
north relief well at the Hawthorne Av-
enue storm sewer lilt station and the
installation of a new replacement north
relief well.
Published pursuant to the provisions
of Chapter 26 of the City Code of lowa
and upon order to the City, Council of
said Waterloo, Iowa, on the 20th day
of May 2024.
