RECEIVING AND OPENING OF RIDS
Sealed bids will be received by the
Iowa Department of Transportation
(DOT), Contracts and Specifications
Bureau. 800 Lincoln Way; Ames, Iowa
50010 on June 18, 2024, at 10:00 A.M.
CDT for the construction of the F.Y.
2023 HAMMOND AVENUE BRIDGE
REPLACEMENT Contract No. 922.
The opening and reading of the bids
w1II be performed by the Contracts and
Specifications Bureau one half hour
after the bid deadline on the day bids
are to be received, unless otherwise
specified by the DOT.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Council
of said Clty will conduct a public hear-
ing on the proposed plans, specifica-
tions, form of contract, and estimate
of cost for the construction of the
above -described Improvement project
at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th day of June,
2024 , said hearing to be held in the
Harold E. Getty Council Chambers in
City Hall In said City. The proposed
plans, specifications, form of contract,
and estimate of cost tor said improve-
ments heretofore prepared by the City
of Waterloo are now on file in the office
of the City Clerk for public examina-
tion, and any person interested therein
may file written objection thereto with
the City Clerk before the date set for
said hearing. or appear and make
objection thereto with the City Clerk

appear and make objection thereto at
the meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The extent of the work involved is the
removal of the existing bridge and con-
structathree barrel RCP culvert.
Published pursuant to the provisions
of Chapter 26 of the City Code of Iowa
and upon order to the City Council of
said Waterloo, Iowa, on the 3rd day of
June 2024.
