RESOLUTION NO. 2016-344
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROPOSED REPAIRS TO
SIDEWALKS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2017 SIDEWALK
INSPECTION AND REPAIR PROGRAM -ZONE 6.
BE IT RESOLVED'BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that after public hearing on May 16,2016, notice having been given as required by law, it is
deemed necessary and advisable that the sidewalk and/or portions of sidewalks for an area
known as Zone 6, be improved by repairing the same.
The repairs of said improvement will be the responsibility of the owner of said property
abutting the sidewalk so designated by the City Engineer as needing repair.
Said work shall be completed by the owner of property abutting said improvement by the
owner of property abutting said improvement by September 16,2016, or with evidence of a
contract to have the work completed by a bonded contractor together with a 25 percent down
payment. The City of Waterloo will contract any work not completed by the property owner, and
an accurate itemized account of all the costs and expenses thereof shall be made to this council
upon completion of said work. The cost and expense to the City of Waterloo for making special
tax against all property abutting sidewalks and/or portions thereof so improved.
