Voice vote -Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. Discussion of an ordinance amending S ection 5-2-6: Discharging Weapons. Martin Petersen, City Attorney, provid- ed an overview of the ordinance. Joe Lelbold, Police Chief, shared that there wore over 60 paintball gun call for services in the city In the month o1 May. Mr, Simon questioned If this only ap- plies to city property or on private property as well. Jae Lelbold shared that this applies to private and public property. He further provided an overview of the calls for service. Council members and Mayor dis- cussed the ordinance and the calls for service with the police chlef and city attorney. An update from Historic Preservation Commission. Noel Anderson, Community Planning and Development Director, introduced the Historic Preservation Commission. Matthew Gilbert Historic Preserva- tion Commission Chair, provided an overview of the Dunsmore House. He shared the house was built in 1665. it is the only limestone residence lett In Waterloo and is on the National Regis- ter of -Historic Places.The Commission requested that the city go through an RFP process 10 hire someone to re- habilitate the house and work with a local realtor to sell the property as a single-family home. He added that the property Is actually a double lot that could be parceled our, and a second home be built next door. Council members and the Mayor dis- cussed the proposal with Noel Ander- son and Matthew Gllbert.An update from Grow Cedar Valley. Dave Wilson, Vice Chair of Grow Ce- dar Valley Board of Directors, Intro- duced today's presenters,, and each provided the council with an update on projects, programs, and accomplish- ments sincethelast update back In November. The presenters included: Stephanie Detweiler, Director of Work- force &Talent Nicole Sall's, Director of Marketing and Communications Lisa Skubal, Vice President of Eco- nomic Development Katy Susong, President & CEO ADJOURNMENT BceserdChiles that the council adjourn at 5:07p,m.
