HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011-281-04/11/2011RESOLUTION NO. 2011-281 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT 927 LAFAYETTE STREET IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA, AS SET OUT IN THE RATH BROWNFIELD NEIGHBORHOOD INFILL DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR $15,000.00. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had the parcels described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained, and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcels is in conjunction with the Rath Brownfield Neighborhood Infill Development Plan, dated February 2003, which recommends acquisition for uses that primarily contribute to further housing opportunities in the area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contracts for the parcels hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to consummate the agreements to purchase the property from the owners thereof, and the deed for the conveyance of the same is also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay for the property from City funds. The subject address is: Owner - David Deeds Address - 927 Lafayette Street Total Acquisition - $15,000.00 Original Plat Waterloo East all of Lots 8 and 9 in Block 25 except the Northwest 75 feet thereof, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
