RESOLUTION NO. 2024-369
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO
ADVANCED ENVIRONMENTAL OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $79,500.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES, CONTRACT NO. AB-
2024-05-08P, FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 708 W. 3RD
STREET, 324-326 W. 7TH STREET, 617 W. 1ST STREET, 200
E. MULLAN AVENUE, AND 1202 SYCAMORE STREET
(CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES), AND 100 COMMERCIAL
STREET, 118 SYCAMORE STREET, AND 128 SYCAMORE
STREET (WDC OWNED PROPERTIES), AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Advanced Environmental of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in conjunction
with Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2024-05-08P, for properties located at 708
W. 3rd Street, 324-326 W. 7th Street, 617 W. 1st Street, 200 E. Mullan Avenue, and 1202
Sycamore Street (City -owned properties), and 100 Commercial Street, 118 Sycamore Street, and
128 Sycamore Street (WDC owned properties), in the amount of $79,500.00, and is the apparent
low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Advanced Environmental submitted a written contract, bond and certificate
of insurance, per city specifications, in conjunction with said asbestos abatement survey services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Advanced Environmental, in the amount of $79,500.00, in conjunction
with Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2024-05-08P, for properties for properties
as stated above, is hereby accepted and awarded to Advanced Environmental.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Advanced
Environmental, in the amount of $79,500.00, in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services,
Contract No. AB-2024-05-08P, for properties as stated above, are hereby approved, and the
Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of June 2024.
