RESOLUTION NO. 2024-393
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO ALL STAR
ENVIRONMENTAL, LLC OF DUBUQUE, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $135,679.00, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SERVICES, CONTRACT NO. AB-
2024-06-01P, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 123 E. PARKER
STREET, THE FORMER SAINT MARY'S VILLA (REBID),
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, All Star Environmental, LLC, of Dubuque, Iowa, submitted a bid
in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2024-06-01P, for property
located at 123 E. Parker Street, the former Saint Mary's Villa (rebid), in the amount of
$135,679.00, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, All Star Environmental, LLC, submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per city specifications, in conjunction with said asbestos abatement
survey services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of All Star Environmental, LLC, in the amount of $135,679.00,
in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement Services, Contract No. AB-2024-06-01P, for property
located at 123 E. Parker Street, the former Saint Mary's Villa (rebid), is hereby accepted and
awarded to All Star Environmental, LLC.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by All Star
Environmental, LLC, in the amount of $135,679.00, in conjunction with Asbestos Abatement
Services, Contract No. AB-2024-06-01P, for property located at 123 E. Parker Street, the former
Saint Mary's Villa (rebid), are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized
and directed to execute said documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of July 2024.
