an ordinance amending Title 8,Public Utilities,Chapter 3.Sewer Regulations,Article
A.User Charges and Fees of Sectic n,2,Determination of Rates and Charges,to
Increase Sewer Rates.
EE IT ORDAINED DY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,IOWA
AS FOLLOWS:
That subparagraph 6 of Title 8,Public Utilities,Chapter 3,Sewer Regulations.Article
A User Charges and Fees,Section 2 Determination of Rates and Charges,of the
City Code of Ordinances of the City of Waterloo,Iowa,is hereby amended as follows:
83A•2: DETERMINATION OF RATES AND CHARGES:
2.Users who have their own private wells shall pay a minimum sixty-three dollars
twenty seven cents(363.27)per quarter,unless required to properly meter wastewa-
ter flows by the Superintendent.
6 The following sewer rental charge shall become effective beginning August 1,
2024:
Minimum monthly charge 1 $21.09
Minimum quarterly charge 2 $63.27
Per Ccf.over minimum monthly charge 3 $3.38
Notes:
1.Includes first 3 Cot
2.Includes first 9 Ccf.
3.Ccf=100 cubic feet of metered water used or metered wastewater discharge if
provided In permit.
7.Effective August 1,2024,sewer users with flow exceeding eight hundred million
(800,000.000)gallons per year are eligible for the following rates:
Minimum monthly charge $21.09(includes first Oct)
Per Cct over minimum $2.70
monthly charge
Passed on 61,2024,and effective upon publication of this ordinance.
