RESOLUTION NO. 2011-737
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF TIMOTHY YOUNG
FOR VARIANCE TO NOISE ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE
NO. 3094.
WHEREAS, Timothy Young is requesting a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on August 6, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in
conjunction with Save the Children of Waterloo event to be held
within the 800 block of West 8th Street, including a DJ and the
use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said Timothy Young made formal application for a
variance effective August 6, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in
conjunction with Save the Children of Waterloo event to be held
within the 800 block of West 8th Street, including a DJ and the
use of a PA system, together with recommendation of approval of
the Director of Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Timothy Young for a variance
to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on August 6, 2011 from
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in conjunction with Save the Children of
Waterloo event to be held within the 800 block of West 8th
Street, including a DJ and the use of a PA system, be and the
same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this lst day of August, 2011.
