Re: Professional Services Agreement
Commercial Street Ramp
Mayor& Council:
As owners of the Waterloo Building, Cardinal Construction, Inc. is interested in
expediting the completion of deferred maintenance on the city-owned walkway that
connects the Commercial Street parking ramp to the Ramada Inn. Specifically, we would
wish to paint and repair the second level stairwell and the interior of that portion of the
walkway that is adjacent and parallel to the Waterloo Building.
Hereby, we would offer the services of Cardinal Construction, Inc. for a cost Not-to-
Exceed of$18,000.00 to paint and repair as follows:
- The second level of the ramp stairwell as well as one-half level up and one-
half level down.
- The repair would involve caulking to stop obvious leaks, patching sheet rock
ceiling joints and repainting all wall surfaces, handrails, and entries that
currently are painted at that level the stairwell.
- Replacing, if necessary the hollow metal doors, hardware and electric operator
at the second level entry to the stairwell from the parking ramp
- Patching existing failed sheet rock joints inside of the building walkway
- Repainting the interior of the walkway
- Caulking &/or patching skylight leaks and leaks occurring at roof flashings
Work would proceed immediately upon City Council concurrence. All temporary
structures and heat to accomplish said work would be the responsibility of Cardinal
Construction, Inc.

This Professional Service Agreement is effective this 19th day of November 2007 upon
