MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
This memorandum of understanding is between the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa hereinafter referred to as City, and the Iowa Northland Regional Council of
Governments, hereinafter referred to as INRCOG.
WHEREAS, the City wishes to engage INRCOG's grant writing services for the following
project:
Type of Grant: 2008 Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Program
Project Description: Preparation of Hazard Mitigation Plan for the City
INRCOG will not charge the City in advance for grant preparation services; however, in
the event that 2008 Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Program funding is awarded for this
project, the City will enter into an agreement with INRCOG to prepare a City Hazard
Mitigation Plan and administer the grant. Said planning and administration costs will not
exceed $7,000.00, and will be paid to INRCOG by the City from either awarded Program
and/or local funds.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, INRCOG and the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
has executed this memorandum of understanding as of this 17th day of December 2007.
