Project Description
The project is described as the vertical infrastructure project associated with Iowa Department of Transportation
2008 Project. Projects identified include the following:
1) T-Hangar Doors
2) Terminal Building Monument Sign
This year's Grant was partially used to construct the T-Hangar A doors installed in 2008 and partially funded
with the 2007 Iowa DOT Grant. In addition, the 2008 Grant will be used to design and construct a new Terminal
Building Sign.
Scope of Services
The work to be performed by the Consultant includes the following tasks:
1. Data Collection and Review - This task consists of the collection of existing data applicable to this
project and related to the proposed work site. The record drawings of completed projects, previous soil
borings and soil data, and utility information will be compiled as background information for the project.
As part of this task a field survey will be performed to collect dimensional sketches as necessary.
2. Preliminary and Final Design - This task will be completed by Craig Ritland Landscape Architects.
This task consists of preliminary design and cost opinion for the Terminal Building Monument Sign,
presentation of design concept to Airport Board, and sign detail drawings for the approved drawings to
submit to signage companies for quotes.
3. Resident Review - This task consists of limited on-site construction review and survey control for
monument sign to determine compliance with contract documents.
4. Project Administration - This task consists of office administration and coordination of the project.
Meetings, general day-to-day administrative responsibilities, and typing of interoffice memoranda and
minutes of meetings are included in this task.
Compensation
Compensation for work defined in the above Scope of Services will be on an hourly basis in accordance with the
hourly fees and other direct expenses in effect at the time the services are performed for a not-to-exceed fee of
Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00)without authorization of the client.
General Conditions
Except as specifically amended by this agreement, services shall be provided in accordance with the Consultant
Services Agreement for the Waterloo Regional Airport between Earth Tech, Inc., and the Waterloo Airport Board
dated May 15, 2003.
