RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH TNJ
CONSTRUCTION, LLC TO SELL AND CONVEY FOR
$1.00, PLUS COSTS, CITY -OWNED PROPERTY
GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF
18TH STREET AND BLACK HAWK STREET, FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW 6,200 SQUARE FOOT
OFFICE AND INDUSTRIAL BUILDING, WITH A
MINIMUM TAXABLE VALUE OF $220,000.00, AS
AUGUST 22, 2011, AT 5:30 P.M. IN CITY HALL
COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA AND
INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE
NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa at 5:30 p.m. on the 22nd day of August, 2011, for
the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposed
Development Agreement with TNJ Construction, LLC to sell and
convey for $1.00, plus costs, city -owned property generally
located at the northwest corner of 18th Street and Black Hawk
Street, for the construction of a new 6,200 square foot office
and industrial building, with a minimum taxable value of
$220,000.00, and legally described as follows:
Portion of Parcel I as described below:
Parcel "I" of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25,
Township 89 North, Range 13 West of the 5th Principle
Meridian, in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa, as shown on Plat of Survey Doc. #2011 17669,
except the northwesterly 45.94 feet in even width as
measured along the northerly right-of-way line of Black
Hawk Street.
Parcel "J" of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25,
Township 89 North, Range 13 West of the 5th Principle
Meridian, in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa, except that portion of vacated West 17th Street
lying within Parcel "J".
And
The northwesterly 45.94 feet in even width as measured
along the northerly right-of-way line of Black Hawk
Street of Parcel "I" of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 25, Township 89 North, Range 13 West of the 5th
Principle Meridian, in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa, as shown on Plat of Survey Doc. #2011
17669, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
State of Iowa.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
