RESOLUTION NO. 2011-777
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF MATT BOYD FOR
A VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Matt Boyd is requesting a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on August 27-28, 2011, from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.,
in conjunction with North End Arts and Music Fest event to be
held at Jubilee United Methodist located along East 4th Street,
Newell Street and Quincy Street, including live bands and the use
of a PA system, with recommendation and approval of Director of
Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Matt Boyd has made formal application for a
variance effective August 27-28, 2011, from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00
p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Matt Boyd for a variance to
Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on August 27-28, 2011, from
12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., in conjunction with North End Arts and
Music Fest event to be held at Jubilee United Methodist located
along East 4th Street, Newell Street and Quincy Street, including
live bands and the use of a PA system, be and the same hereby
granted.
