capital improvements and/or charitable services.
INDOOR/OUTDOOR SOUND SYSTEM FOR VETERANS MEMORIAL HALL
The funds will be used to install an Indoor/Outdoor Sound System for Veterans Memorial Hall
located at 655 Cedar Street. Veterans Memorial Hall is owned and operated by the City of
Waterloo. The Memorial Hall Commission,consisting of 15 members who have been honorably
discharged from a military organization,was created by the City of Waterloo to oversee Veterans
Memorial Hall. Veteran organizations use the building and walkway for Veterans Day, Memorial
Day, and monthly meetings. The building is used for council meetings, the annual Grout Museum
Brewfest,the Exchange Club Healing Field events,and it is a designated emergency building for
the American Red Cross. This year the annual Police Memorial will be held at Soldiers and Sailors
Park located behind Veterans Memorial Hall.
