RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE SALE
AND CONVEYANCE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY
GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE FORMER LINCOLN
SCHOOL SITE TO BLACK HAWK CONTRACTING AND
DEVELOPMENT INC. AS SEPTEMBER 6, 2011, AT
5:30 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS,
WATERLOO, IOWA, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 6th day of September, 2011, for the
purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to sell and
convey city -owned property generally located at the former
Lincoln School site to Black Hawk Contracting and Development
Inc., and legally described as follows:
Lots 1 thru 10, inclusive, Lots 16 thru 20, inclusive,
the alley from the East line of said Lot 4 and 17 West
to Burton Avenue in Block 14 and the West 35 feet of
that part of the alley running East and West through
Block 14, which lies between said Lots 5 and 16, all in
Block 14 in Second Addition to Grand View Place, all in
the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, State of Iowa;
for $1.00, plus costs.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
