This letter of agreement establishes responsibilities for Evansdale Fire
Department for the payment and use of Opticom intersections within the City
REGINALD A. of Waterloo. This agreement is subject to approval by Waterloo and
SCHMITT Evansdale City Council.
Ward l
CAROLYN Evansdale Fire Department shall:

Ward 2
1. Receive training on the use and mis-use of the opticom system.

This training shall be given by Waterloo Fire Rescue.
Ward 3 2. Have training records available
JOHN A, 3. Follow Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG 135) used by Waterloo
KINCAID Fire Rescue.
Ward 4 4. Priority will be set at a level below that of Waterloo Fire Rescue.
RON 5. Payment per intersection will be $150.00 per intersection,annually,

GREENWOOD Waterloo Fire Rescue shall:
At-Large
ERIC 1. Train Evansdale Fire Department members that will be using the
GUNDERSON Opticom system. One training session annually.
At-Large 2. City of Waterloo Traffic Operations Department will reset the
intersections to accept the Evansdale signal.
3. City of Waterloo Traffic Operations will keep the Opticom
intersections in good working order.
