HomeMy WebLinkAboutWaterloo Development Corporation- Amendment #2 to Landscape Agreement-05.29.2007 �� �o a 7 - Sig S AMENDMENT#2 TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN CLIENT AND LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT In accordance with the agreement dai:ed April 25, 2006 between the following parties: CLIENT: Waterloo Development Corporation and the City of Waterloo LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT: Craig Ritland Landscape Architects (CRLA) for the following PROJECT: WATERLOO EXPOSITION GROUNDS, PHASE I Authorization is requested to proceed with the following additional services: Our original contract included design development services for the proposed Public Market building but did not include construction documents. We are proposing the following additional services as per the terms of our existing contract. SCOPE OF WORK The\existing City-owned building is to be renovated to provide a public market space. Interior development will include toilet rooms, display spaces, delivery/storage, a cooler and meat counter, and sales checkout. An addition along one side of the buil ding will provide additional display/sales space facing the Exposition Grounds. Interior space is to be developed with an exposed structure and minimal finishes. Lighting and HVAC improvements are to be designed. Refrigeration and a meat counter are to be included in the scope of work. Exterior development will include the additional display space, outdoor seating, a pad for a potential tractor display, and site paving. Large roof mounted letters are to be designed to identify the public market. The construction cost has been estimated to be approximately $700,000. This cost opinion did not include the roof mounted letters. We anticipate a cost of approxi mately $40,000 for the letters and supporting infrastructure. Our services include architectural design and documentation, along with mechanical, electrical and structural engineering design, and include normal construction related services including shop drawing review, coordination meetings and site observation. FEES Based upon the above expanded scope of work and services anticipated, Craig Ritland Landscape Architects (and their subconsultants) will provide the services described above, and in accordance with the conditions outlined in our contract, for a sum not to exceed $69,500.
