RESOLUTION NO. 2024-523 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DEVELOPMENT AND MINIMUM ASSESSMENT AGREEMENT WITH RYAN COMPANIES US, LLC, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 225,113 SQUARE FOOT WAREHOUSE LOCATED AT 3280 NEWELL STREET, WITH A MINIMUM ASSESSED VALUE OF $14,625,000.00, AND REBATES AT FIFTY PERCENT FOR TEN YEARS, LAND DEVELOPMENT GRANT OF $1,515,000.00 FOR EARTHWORK, AND A GRANT OF $3,255,000.00 FOR THE PURCHASE OF LAND, AND AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the Development and Minimum Assessment Agreement dated September 3, 2024, between Ryan Companies US,LLC, and the City of Waterloo, Iowa, for the construction of a 225,113 square foot warehouse located at 3280 Newell Street, with a minimum assessed value of$14,625,000.00, is hereby approved. 2. That a grant of$3,255,000.00 for the purchase of land, is hereby approved. 3. That a$1,515,000.00 land development grant for earthwork and tax rebates of fifty percent for ten years is hereby approved 4. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
