RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
SEPTEMBER 16, 2024, FOR THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE
OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED NEAR 919
NEWELL STREET AND 918 NEWELL STREET IN THE
AMOUNT OF $5,000.00, EACH AND TO APPROVE A
PHASED DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH DELLATAN
ASSET ACQUISITION, LLC, INCLUDING A $5,000.00
DEVELOPMENT GRANT FOR EACH RESIDENTIAL UNIT
CREATED FOR A TOTAL OF UP TO $60,000.00 IN INFILL
HOUSING GRANTS, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF UP TO
TWELVE NEW SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES OR DUPLEX
UNITS, AND DIRECT THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, meet in the Harold E. Getty
Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 16th day of September 2024,
to hold a public hearing, in conjunction with the sale and conveyance of city -owned property
located near 919 Newell Street and 918 Newell Street in the amount of $5,000.00 each, and to
approve a phased Development Agreement with Dellatan Asset Acquisition, LLC, including a
$5,000.00 development grant for each residential unit created for a total of up to $60,000.00 in
Infill Housing Grants, for the construction of up to twelve new single-family homes or duplex
units.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of September 2024.
