RESOLUTION NO. 2024-518
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO BAKER
ENTERPRISES, INC., OF WAVERLY, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $424,835.90, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2025 STATE STREET
SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT AND STORM SEWER
DISCONNECTS, CONTRACT NO. 1110, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Baker Enterprises, Inc., of Waverly, Iowa, submitted a bid in conjunction
with the FY 2025 State Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement and Storm Sewer Disconnects,
Contract No. 1110, in the amount of $424,835.90, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Baker Enterprises, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond, and certificate of
insurance, per city specifications, approved by resolution No. 2024-517 on September 3, 2024, in
conjunction with the FY 2025 State Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement and Storm Sewer
Disconnects, Contract No. 1110.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,
1. That the bid of Baker Enterprises, Inc., in the amount of $424,835.90, in conjunction
with the FY 2025 State Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement and Storm Sewer Disconnects,
Contract No. 1110, is hereby accepted and awarded to Baker Enterprises, Inc.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Baker Enterprises,
Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2025 State Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement and Storm Sewer
Disconnects, Contract No. 1110, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are
authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of September 2024.
