AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2644, KNOWN AS THE TRAFFIC
ORDINANCE, BY REPEALING SECTION 125, PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT
REPORTS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SECTION 125, PROPERTY
DAMAGE ACCIDENT REPORTS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, that:
Section 125, Property Damage Accident Reports, of Ordinance No. 2644,
known as the Traffic Ordinance, is hereby repealed in its entirety; that
new Section 125, Property Damage Accident Reports, of Ordinance No. 2644,
known as the Traffic Ordinance, is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as
follows:
SEC. 125. PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT REPORTS.
When an officer is called to the scene of a reported property damage
accident involving apparent damage of less than $250.00, the officer shall
give assistance as practicable to the person(s) involved and record the
accident information on a white accident report card to be filed in the
Traffic Division accident report files.
Bit and Run property damage accidents with apparent damage of less
than $250.00, with no apparent solution, will also be recorded on white
accident reporting card and filed in the Traffic Division accident report
files.
