AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE (N0.2644) /3y REPEALING
SUBSECTIONS (9) , (9a) AND (10, , ALL BROADWAY STREET, (22) , (23) ,
(24) AND (25) , ALL DUBUQUE ROAD, OF SECTION 541, INCREASING SPEED
LIMITS IN CERTAIN AREAS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SUBSECTIONS
(9) , (9a) , (10) AND (l0a) , ALL BROADWAY STREET, (23) , (24) ANT) (25) ,
ALL DUBUQUE ROAD, TO SECTION 541, INCREASING SPEED LIMITS IN CERTAIN
AREAS; AND BY ADDING SUBSECTIONS (70a) AND (70b) , MARTIN ROAD, TO
SECTION 541, INCREASING SPEED LIMITS IN CERTAIN AREAS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa;
Section 1.
That Subsections (9) , (9a) and (10) , all Broadwa ' Street, (22) , (23) , (24)
and (25) , all Dubuque Road, of Section 541, Tncreasing Speed Limits in Certain
Areas, of the Traffic Ordinance, are hereby repealed in their entirety.
Section 2.
That new Subsections (9) , (9a) , (10) and (10a) , all Bcoadway Street, (23) ,
(24) and (25) , all Dubuque Road, of Section 541, Increasing Speed Limits in
Certain Areas, of the Traffic Ordinance, are hereby enacted in lieu thereof
as follows:
(9) Broadway Street - from the West corporate limits to 100 feet West
of Longfellow Avenue 55 mph
(9a) Broadway Street - from 100 feet West of Longfellow Avenue to.
100 feet West of Grandview Avenue 50 mph
(10) Broadway Street - from 100 feet West of Grandview Avenue to
400 feet West of Parker Street 45 mph
(10a) Broadway Street - from 400 feet West of Parker Street to
Utica Street 35 mph
(23) Dubuque Road - from Utica Street to Nevada Street 35 mph
(24) Dubuque Road - from Nevada Street to 400 feet East of Idaho
Street 45 mph
(25) Dubuque Road - from 400 feet East of Idaho Street to the east
corporate limits 55 mph
Section 3.
That Subsections (70a) and (70b) , Martin Road, are hereby added to Section 541,
Increasing Speed Limits in Certain Areas, of the Traffic Ordinance, -s follows:
(70a) martin Road - from West Fourth Street to Sergeant Road
(Highway 63) 30 mph
(70b) Martin Road - from Sergeant Road (Highway 63) to Ridgeway
Avenue 35 mph
