AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2644, KNOWN AS THE TRAFFIC
CODE, BY REPEALING SUBSECTIONS (60) , '61) , (62) AND (64) , ALL
IA PORTS ROAD, OF SECTION 541, fNCREASING SPEED LIMITS IN CERTAIN
AREAS; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SUBSECTIONS (60) , (61) ,
(62) AND (63), ALL LAPORTE ROAD, OF SECTION 541, INCREASING SPEED
LIMITS IN CERTAIN AREAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa;
That Subsections (60) , (61) , (62) and (64) , all LaPorte Road, of Section
541, Increasing Speed Limits in Certain Areas, of the Traffic Code of the
City of Waterloo, Towa, are hereby repealed in their entirety; that new
Subsections -(60) , (61) , (62) and (63) , all LaPorte Road, of Section 541,
Increasing Speed Limits in Certain Areas, of the Traffic rode of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, are hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
(60) LaPorte Road - from Commercial Street to Washington
Street 30 mph
(61) LaPorte Road also known as U. S. Highway 218 - from
Washington Street to 160 feet south of. Lackland Drive 35 mph
'62) LaPorte Road also known as M. S. Highway 218 - from
160 feet south of Lackland Drive to 140 feet south of
Shaulis Road 45 mph
(63) LaPorte Road also known as U. S. Highway 218 - from
140 feet south of Shaulis Road to the southerly
corporate limits 55 mph
