it,N ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2644, KNOWN AS THE TRAFFIC
CODE, BY REPEALING SECTION 124, REPORTING ACCIDENTS, TN TTS
ENTIRETY; AND BY ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SECTION 124,
REPORTING ACCIDENTS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
That Section 124, Reporting Accidents, of the Traffic Code, is hereby
repealed in its entirety; that new Section 124, Reporting Accidents,
of the Traffic Code, is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
SEC. 124. REPORTING ACCIDENTS.
The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in
injury to or death of any person shall immediately by the ,.itlickest means
of communication give notice of such accident to the office of the
Chief of Police.
The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury
to or death of any person, or total property damage to an apparent
extent of $500.00 or more shall also, within seventy-two (72) hours
after such accident, give a report in person to the Traffic Division
of the Waterloo Police Department.
