Home My WebLink About3170-09.09.1981 (RECORDED) ORDINANCE NO. 3 / 7 0 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO , IOWA , DESIGNATED AS THE "LIFE SAFETY CODE " 1981 EDITION AS PUBLISHED IN 1981 BY THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION; REPEALING IN ITS ENTIRETY ORDINANCE NO . 2565 KNOWN AS CHAPTER 14-4 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO , IOWA , AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO , IOWA: Section 1 . That a certain document , three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Waterloo , Iowa ; being marked and designated as "Life Safety Code 1981 Edition , published in 1981 by the National Fire Protection Association " , be and the same is hereby adopted and becomes Chapter 14-4 of the Code of Ordinances , City of Waterloo , Iowa . Section 2. That Ordinance No . 2565 entitled "Life Safety Code , 1970 Edition , " Chapter 14-4 of the Code of Ordinances , City of Waterloo , Iowa , and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3 . That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be published . Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective on and after the first working day after its publication as required by the laws of this City and State.
