AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, CODE OF ORDINANCES,
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, BY ADDING THERETO NEW SUBSECTION
(d) OF SECTION 2-16 AUTHORIZING COUNCIL MEETINGS AT
DESIGNATED PLACES OTHER THAN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS IN
WATERLOO CITY HALL.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
Section 1.
Section 2-16, Meetings: Dates, time and place for regular meetings;
adjourned meetings; calling special meetings; limitation on business,
is hereby amended by adding thereto new Subsection (d) as follows:
" (d) Regular or special meetings of the council may be
held at such other designated place other than the
council chambers in the city hall as the council may
deem advisable; provided, however, such designation of
a meeting place other than the council chambers in the
city hall shall be by council resolution. Notice of such
change of meeting place shall be given to the general
public by publication as provided in Section 362.3 of
the Code of Iowa."
