ORDINANCE NO. 3041
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2446, AS AMENDED, KNOWN
AS THE MILK ORDINANCE BY REPEALING ALL OF SECTION 5-A
INSPECTION FEES AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SECTION 5-A
INSPECTION FEES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
Section 1.
That Section 5-A, Inspection. Fees, as amended, of Ordinance No. 2446, known
as the Milk Ordinance is hereby repealed.
Section 2.
That the following new Section 5-A, Inspection Fees, of Ordinance No. 2446,
known as the Milk Ordinance is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
(1) Each milk producer inspected by the milk inspection department
of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall pay to the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
an inspection fee of two cents ($.02) for each one hundred (100) pounds
of fluid milk sold or delivered by each such producer to a milk plant
or receiving station.
(2) Each milk processing plant inspected by the milk inspection
department of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall pay to the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, an inspection fee or other fees at a reasonable rate
in relation to the costs of services performed. The charge for
inspection is to be based on a per inspection fee on incoming milk
tankers, produced products or equipment tested and plant sanitary
inspection on a per month basis not to exceed $750.00 per month.
