ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING INSPECTION FEES FOR
MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLINGS AS AUTHORIZED BY
THE STATE OF IOWA HOUSING LAW, SECTION 413,
STATE CODE OF IOWA, AND THE COLLECTION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
Section I. That the State of Iowa has adopted a Housing Law known as
Chapter 413, State Code of Iowa.
Section 2. That this Housing Law applies to the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
according to Section 413.1, State Code of Iowa.
Section 3. That Section 413.123 provides for the establishment of
inspection fees.
Section 4. That the City of Waterloo, Iowa, establishes an annual
inspection fee of $25.00 for the inspection of a multiple
family building including the first dwelling unit, plus a
fee of $10.00 for each subsequent dwelling unit of said
building.
Section 5. That a reinspection fee of $10.00 per unit will be charged
for the reinspection of any unit not complying with the
Code on the original inspection.
Section 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published.
Section 7. This Ordinance shall become effective on and after the
first working day after its publication as required by the
laws of this City and State.
Passed and adopted by the City Council this 2 tb_day of February
1980 , and approved by the Mayor this 28thiay of February , 19 80 .
