AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2479, AS AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE "ONING
ORDINANCE, BY REPEALING SUBSECTION A .16. OP SECTION 2A-33, REGULATIONS,
AND BY ALSO REPEALING SUBSECTION A.3.c. OF SECTION 2A-37 , REGULATIONS; AND
ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SUBSECTION H.6. TO SECTION 2A-48, EXCEPTIONS
AND MODIFICATIONS, ALL PERTAINING TO JUNK AND AUTO SALVAGE YARDS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the city of Waterloo, Iowa:
Section 1
That Subsection A. 16. of Section 2r-33, Regulations, of the zoning Ordinance,
is hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section 2.
That Subsection A.3.c. of Section 2A-37, Regulations, of the Coning Ordinance,
is hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section 3.
That Section 2A-48, Exceptions and Modifications, of the "oning Ordinance, is
hereby amended by adding Subsection H.6. thereto as follows:
"6. Junk, iron or rags, storage or baling, where the premises upon
which such activities are conducted rre wholly enclosed within a
building, wall or fence, not less than six (6) feet in height,
completely obscuring the activity, including automobile, tractor,
or machinery wrecking or used parts yards.
All junk and auto salvage yards as described above shall only be
allowed in the following zoning classifications. "M-1" Light
Industrial - istrict, "P:-2" Eeavy Industrial District and 'M-2,P"
Planned Industrial District."
